di-et [dahy-it] - noun: food and drink considered in terms of its qualities, composition and its effects on health.
Not to be confused with fad "diets," deprevation/binge eating,
or eating plans that lead to short-term weight loss and rebounding.
Over the next 40 days, you are not "on a diet;" you are redefining your lifestyle.

Wednesday Note from Jen

Hey All -

Thanks for the great reports on Day 2 so far!

Just a note - you may notice one or two bloggers listing some foods that are outside the Maker's boundaries. These are the guys that are doing the Daniel fast through North Asheville Baptist Church and then transitioning to Maker's on Day 21. Be praying for the Daniel fast participants - you may see some more varied foods that they get to eat at this point, but over all the Daniel fast is much tougher... and I'm sure well worth it!

I'm going to shoot you guys an email on detoxing today, so be on the lookout. The next three or four days will be the toughest of the whole 40, so let's stick together and stay strong :)

Glad to be in this with all of you!

PS - Kim, welcome to the blog! For those of you who don't know, Kim is my cousin. She lives in Greenwood, SC. For Day 1 and Day 2 of the plan, she was in an Atlanta convention center at a Passion Conference... along with thousands of teenagers. Not the easiest place to start Maker's!
