di-et [dahy-it] - noun: food and drink considered in terms of its qualities, composition and its effects on health.
Not to be confused with fad "diets," deprevation/binge eating,
or eating plans that lead to short-term weight loss and rebounding.
Over the next 40 days, you are not "on a diet;" you are redefining your lifestyle.

Jen - Day 26 & 27

Hi All -

Sorry for getting a day behind! Here's the rundown:

Friday
B - Berry/peach/red chard smoothie
L - Miso soup
D - Ginger-teriyaki salmon, sweet potato and braised greens
S - Pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds

Today I was at a writing conference, with "provided" food. I didn't partake of anything that was optional. I was a little worried about lunch because it was a sit down, three-course service meal. Thankfully, I was able to stay all Phase II except for some grains in the vegetarian main course. Tomorrow they are providing a "surprise" lunch. It's not the kind of thing that you can say no to (again, round tables/function service), so I'm just hoping it will be a Phase II surprise!

Saturday
B - Two eggs, blackberries
L - Tomato/basil/mozzarella salad, grain puff with side of carrots and broccoli
D - Curry veggies (I know this is redundant, but we love it. So good) and seaweed salad
S - Carrots, apple, goat cheese

Hope you all have had a great day! Stay warm!
xo-j
