di-et [dahy-it] - noun: food and drink considered in terms of its qualities, composition and its effects on health.
Not to be confused with fad "diets," deprevation/binge eating,
or eating plans that lead to short-term weight loss and rebounding.
Over the next 40 days, you are not "on a diet;" you are redefining your lifestyle.

Diane - Day 15 (plus some)

I don't know why I can't seem to get around to posting these days! I apologize, but I am doing great with eating what I need to be. My pants are feeling a little looser even though I have only lost about 8 pounds, but the greatest part is that I haven't had pain in my knees. I noticed it especially walking down steps and am amazed that the pain is gone! I have been living with that for quite a while and it really is a blessing!! I'm wondering which of the things I am leaving off is making the difference - probably sugar.

Saturday
B - two eggs, turkey bacon, 1/2 grapefruit
L/D - roast beef, carrots, salad
S - herbal tea, berries and almonds

Sunday
B - 1/2 grapefruit
L - grilled hamburger patty, tomatoes, dill pickle, salad
D - chicken, steamed veggies (broccoli, carrots, celery, snow peas, pepper, onions), green beans, broccoli cole slaw, fresh berries with almonds

Monday
B - two eggs, turkey bacon, 1/2 grapefruit
L/D - grilled chicken, green beans, cooked carrots, salad, berries
S - almonds

Most days I have done my workout but did skip a few times......I'm trying to get back on track with that. It's so encouraging to hear everyone's comments and how well you are all doing. I'll try to do better with my daily reports. Phillip is doing well also and has lost at least 13 pounds. He has an occasional lapse but for the most part is staying on track. He's just not good with the posting!
God bless!
