di-et [dahy-it] - noun: food and drink considered in terms of its qualities, composition and its effects on health.
Not to be confused with fad "diets," deprevation/binge eating,
or eating plans that lead to short-term weight loss and rebounding.

Alex - Days 3 & 4

Hey Everyone,

I'm happy to be back from a fog of major detox fatigue on Wed. night and flu symptoms yesterday morning. I know I stuck to the plan on Wed, but I don't remember the details. Exercised yesterday but was very low energy. I'm looking forward to getting over the hump! :-).

Here's what I had yesterday...

B - Tea w/milk & honey
green smoothie w/lots of lemon juice
strawberries & almond butter

L - Large spinach salad w/lupine beans, avocado, tahini dressing, sunflower seeds**

S - Unsweetened coconut milk with GOL Super Seed

D - Salad w/lentils, sprouts, grilled artichokes

**Lupine beans are not technically on the plan (not mentioned in any phase), but their nutritional profile is such that it would compare to lentils which are included in phase 1. As far as I know, they are pretty to new to the US but have been used in the Middle East for centuries. One cup of lupine beans has 220 calories, 22 grams of protein, 38 grams of dietary fiber, and 32 grams of carbs. One cup of lentils has 240 calories, 18 grams of protein, 16 grams of dietary fiber, 40 grams of carbs.

Happy Friday!
