di-et [dahy-it] - noun: food and drink considered in terms of its qualities, composition and its effects on health.
Not to be confused with fad "diets," deprevation/binge eating,
or eating plans that lead to short-term weight loss and rebounding.
Over the next 40 days, you are not "on a diet;" you are redefining your lifestyle.

Diane - Day 16

Another good day! Our pastor encouraged us to try fasting, or at least a partial fast day, so I did that yesterday. It was amazing that I really did not feel that hungry but I think it is different when it is a spiritual thing. My goal was to go from after dinner Monday night until dinner Tuesday night with only water (I did slip in a cup of coffee). I had to eat a little earlier because I was giving blood and didn't want to pass out, so I had a pre-dinner salad just before my appointment around 5. I believe the Maker's Diet encourages this also but I haven't read the specifics - must do that as I think there are health benefits to this as well.

D - salad with grilled salmon and broccoli/cheddar soup(probably stretched it a bit on the soup)
S - celery with almond butter
Lots of water!
20 minute aerobic exercise
